Having a tough time getting this to install. I've tried multiple computers, one deployment with updates and modifications, another just straight generic install. It seems to be hanging up on C++ 2005 Redistributable.
I found several threads on this topic and here is what I've already tried:
uninstalling all C++
cleaning out temp directory
creating a C:\temp directory
turning off windows updates & virus scan.
I've tried on two different computers now with the same results. I've installed Civil 3D, Navisworks, recap, plain AutoCAD from the same media with no issues. I've also tried creating a new deployment from the same media.
Any suggestions on what to try next?
Here is the contents of the deployment log file:

Please post the log file:
C:\Users\DWilson\AppData\Local\Temp\vcredist_x86_2
Otherwise, you can try uninstalling all versions of Visual C++ Runtime Redist from your system and let the Autodesk application install it for you.

Hello @Doug_000,
You mentioned that you installed from a Deployment you can try creating a new deployment if you are certain that its the deployment, try testing it on one more computer. Depending on how many computers you need to install it on consider installing it from a network share folder and run the
C:\Autodesk\ "Product Name"\Setup.exe file.
Thank you.

Thanks, I'm not sure it's the deployment. If I can't get the C++ thing straightened out from the log files I can try downloading fresh media but... everything else in the deployment is working.
What I typically do is create a deployment from media called "all" and place it in a network share. I install mostly Civil 3D in 8 offices but this way if I need something odd like 3DSM or Revit (We have BDS for our Revit users but occasionally have a Civil user who has the need and the ability & I use IDS).
But I use the deployment wizard tools to create a new deployment from "all".
I just now got Revit to install. I don’t know what caused it but it’s very odd and figured I'd post it in case it's more widespread than my world.
Our workstations were running Windows 10 version 1511. After a recent windows security update we started having network drive connectivity issues. Updating the machines to Windows 10 version 1607 resolved the issue.
Seeing one of the computers that I’d been having trouble installing on had gotten this “fix”, on a hunch I thought I’d try it again and it installed without any issues.
So I updated another one that I’d had issues with to the 1607 build and it worked as well.
As far as I know, it was only Revit Structure. I could install C3D, Navisworks, ReCAP... didn't try any of the others.
And, it affected the 2016 Revit structure deployment as well.
It always failed on the Microsoft Visual C++ 2005 Redistributable (x86)
