Can I get a student licence if I Homeschool?

I was trying to get an Autodesk student licence for Fusion 360. I home school and don't have a name for a verified educational institution.  Maybe I need a Hobbyist licence or I might just get Free Cad.

that depends

read this: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/education-program/who-can-join/el...

  • Home-school programs that belong to a nationally recognized home-schooling body

if not then no

for hobbyists read this: https://www.autodesk.com/campaigns/fusion-360-for-hobbyists?_ga=2.247999234.422232296.1588595616-147...

you can get a free license under the extended access program until June 30, 2020

Hi @Anonymous,

The answer given by @DarrenP is correct. Thank you so much Darren for helping out!

  • Homeschool programs that belong to a nationally recognized homeschooling body (or one that's expressly recognized by a local school governing body as an acceptable alternative to an accredited educational institution)

The link to view this on the Autodesk Knowledge Network is here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/autodesk-for-education/educational-institutions/which-institutions-qualify

If you do belong to a nationally accredited group, and still having issues verifying, feel free to log a case with the Education Support Team here : https://www.autodesk.com/education/support/edu-contact-us-form. After that send me a Private Message (hover over my username and select “Send Private Message” with your case number and I’ll do what I can to help out.

I hope this helped!

We have a home school, I know we were issued a home school number from the state, but it is not nationally recognized program.

How should I move forward?

Thanks.

Mike

Just to make sure I understand. Having a state issued home school number is not the same as being recognized by a local school governing body.

Are there any alternative. I work in estimating/sales/project management and am trying to get them involed in Building Information Management. This would in clash detecting using navisworks and revit.

How do you recommend I proceed?

The next step is contacting your state representatives and your state attorney general.

Discrimination against homeschoolers is illegal in some states already and should be in every state.
