Base_T~1.cab error

I don't seem to be able to instal AutoCAD Design Suite Ultimate 2016 and get the followign error:

The cabinet file 'Base_T~1.cab' required for this installation is corrupt and can not be used. This could indicate a network error readign from the CD-ROM or a problem with this package.

I have tried using both Firefox and then Google Chrome to do my instal. Same issue each time.

I have entered the text Base_T~1.cab into search and nothing came up.

Kinda frustrating. Any support woudl be helpful.

Hello one14am and welcome to the community!  THis sounds like a bad download.  PLease try to connect via  dedicated line, not wifi which can be spotty, and then download from the virtual agent.  First prepare your system:

1.) Ensure you are installing the software as an administrator.

2.) Be sure that already have Microsoft .NET Framework 4.0 (or 4.5) installed. It will appear in your Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. If it is not installed, install the package from here.

3.) Temporarily disable any antivirus scanning during the installation.  Windows firewall can be found: Start-Search-Windows Firewall-the click on Windows Firewall.  Click the link to turn on or off and turn off all firewall.  You can turn them back on after you install.

4.) Disable UAC on the system

5.) Clean out your temp folder Start-Search-%temp%

Here is a helpful link to the Autodesk site that shows these steps.

Now re-download from the Virtual Agent which will download the entire product, instead of grabbing a little at a time which could have the possibility of an internet interruption.

I hope you are able to get up and running after performing these steps!

I downloaded the files using Virtual agent. They come in 4 parts. I have
included an image showing the file names and size.

I am still having issues. Those files did not seem to do anything when I
clicked on them. I used an unzip file to extract them but each one wanted
to overwrite others from the next set. According to the instructions I was
only to click on the exe file and I saw none so it seems confusing.

I am using a 64 bit system on a custom workstation designed for high end 3D
graphics and video. It is operating on Windows 10. Microsoft Framework link
provided shows that framework is not supported under win 10 so that is an
issue.

A second issue is that I am unable to hard wire my internet connection but
it does not seem to have connection loss issues.

A third issue is that I can not seem to completely delete my %temp% files
as it seems to have at least one autodesk file tie that does not allow it's
deletion.

What next????
