Well, it's that time again... and this time it's a required update as of April 1, 2022 for all Autodesk 202x products. If you are still using network licensing for enterprise or token flex, it's time to update your Autodesk Network License Manager files to the latest and greatest (Autodesk) version, which looks to be the same as the 2022 release. See below:
Autodesk is again providing 11.18.0.0 (x64 only) for 2023 products for those of you who are still on network licensing and have not yet moved to Named User licensing. In addition, the NLM should still be available for Enterprise support level customers for the time being. If you haven't already updated to this version for your 2022 product, it is required that you update this and any 3rd party Flexera versions that you may be running to this release from Revenera or newer, by April 1st 2022 per Autodesk.
NOTE: If you do not update with this release, you may get a 0.0.0 error.
For detailed installation instructions see this link:
Just like the last couple of years and moving forward, the License Manager files are no longer available for direct download from Revenera. Per their existing policy, you must obtain the license manager from your software vendor. You can download the Autodesk Network License Manager files here for only the 64-bit version moving forward:
You can update your license file to 2023 versions from your Autodesk Accounts page once your Subscription has been updated. Note: Just because the Autodesk product has been released, there is no guarantee that your Subscription has been updated yet.
Autodesk Product Keys for all versions can also be found here. With the latest changes to future installs, Product Keys will likely become antiquated. Product keys for 2023 should follow the same formula if required, with this release using the letter O.
You can use the online method to activate your license here:
https://register.autodesk.com and from your Autodesk Accounts page at https://accounts.autodesk.com
Or you can contact your Value-Added Reseller for assistance. You can locate your VAR here:
http://www.autodesk.com/resellers/locate-a-reseller
Note: To update your license file, you will need to provide your serial number and ethernet ID of the new/current license server.

The Autodesk Network License Manager is no longer included in the product installation downloads. You must download it separately now.
For best results, you should always run the latest lmgrd.exe and combine license managers if other vendors also use the license manager. The latest lmgrd.exe is backwards compatible with vendors supporting versions back to 9.2. It's also good to note that you should NOT mix and match 32-bit and 64-bit versions as LMTOOLS cannot see the services created on mixed architectures. Autodesk is now only supplying the x64 versions.
I will keep these threads updated for as long as the NLM is supported.
Thanks!
Is the latest version of the Autodesk Network License Manager for Windows still at version 11.18.0.0?

Is this from 2016? Has there not been any newer releases... fixing potential Flexera security vulnerabilities?
cheers.
Autodesk hasn't updated their NLM since 11.18. However, Flexera still updates the lmgrd.exe regularly. Attached is the 11.19.3 version with the 11.18 adskflex.exe vendor daemon included. These are Windows 64-bit. It is backwards compatible and will work with your Autodesk licenses. Hope that helps.
Good Luck!
Hey Travis. I am in a similar boat with needing the updated files but when i download the zip it says its empty. Is there a chance you can repost the zip containing the updated files? Thank you
I appoligize. Our filters must be denying the files to be downloaded. I was able to obtain them.
Interesting. I just downloaded it from my attachment above and it shows the 4 .exe files included. I will attach it again to the bottom of this message.
Hope it works for you.
Thanks @TravisNave! Any chances Autodesk will release an official NLM upgrade in the form of an installer? Do you have any pull to add it to someone's to-do list? This should probably be done quarterly and also whenever Flexera releases updates, particularly security-related ones.
cheers!
There is a 0% chance of this happening as they are moving away from FlexLM in favor of cloud licensing. However, gov't, enterprise, and educational licensing still supports FlexLM, so therefore, I will.
Honestly, there was never anything "official" as the installer anyway. It's always just been a script that copies the 4 .exe files. Updating is as easy as:
1. Stop the server service from LMTOOLS
2. Close LMTOOLS
3. Overwrite the 4 .exe files with the new ones
4. Launch LMTOOLS
5. Start the server service
It's pretty much that simple.
