AutoCAD Windows on MAC

At Autodesk Knowledge  Network it says:

AutoCAD and AutoCAD LT versions 2013 or later support cross-platform licensing and can be activated on either Windows or Mac platforms with the same license. You can use the same subscription email address and password (or a serial number for perpetual license products) to activate your software on either operating system. The version years must match, and you need to download and install the correct version for your operating system.

If the AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT product is part of a suite, it is not available for cross-platform licensing.

What if the AutoCAD is part of a Collection?  Will the customer be able to install the AutoCAD on a MAC - and the rest of the products on a PC? 

The customer can then eiter login at his MAC to get access to AutoCAD or login at his PC to get access to other products - or?

Collection is still considered a suite product..  This entitlement (cross platform) is only available if your subscribe solely to AutoCAD or AutoCAD for MAC.

Hello @Anonymous,

Thank you for posting & asking this question. Collections are user based, you could install the products on either platform & if you are the named user assigned to the product you would sign-in to the product on either platform(Windows or Mac) virtual enviroment, although there are limitations on the amount of sign-in's.

Please review the information below: 

Industry Collections licensing

If the customer has a single-user IC then he can install the license on any number of computers but can login only 3 times simultaneously. Which means that the customer can install different products on different computers with the same login details (assuming that the same user will be using the license at the same time). However, for IC the customer can use only 2 products out of the Collection at the same time. Single-user’s login details may not be shared with anyone else. 

If it’s a multi-user IC, then the customer will be able to install the product on different computers but the usage is 1 seat per user. Hence, only 1 user will be able to use the product at a time on one computer. Again 1 user can only use 2 products of the IC at the same time.

I really think you need to clarify something because your posting can be read 2 different ways..

Are you installing AutoCAD (Win version) on the MAC using  bootcamp or parallels or are you trying to actually install AutoCAD for MAC on the MAC OS?  If the latter than no this is not allowed because it falls under the cross-platfom rules.
