am i able to simply uninstall and re-install using same activation codes etc.,?

Check your list of installed programs for anything like CCleaner etc. Maybe run a malware check too if you think it could have been it.

Depends on your license type, if you have a "perpetual" license then yes, if it's a subscription you most likely do not have a serial number anymore, just activate via sign in.
