AutoCAD license file for educational institutions expired and is not renewable.

Hello,

two weeks ago our license file for AutoCAD expired. This was noticed last week and now it is to be renewed.

In the online portal we now get an error message after entering the license server information. The license file is not generated.

Is this because we are no longer within the validity period of the certificate? If so, what can we do in such a case?

Hi, the error message says the following:

"The term absolute date is not greater than todays date + 2"

It is an educational licence. When I try to get a new network license at this site:

Class/Lab -> AutoCAD -> Get Started -> Deploy with Network Server

I only get a download and the old serial number. This serial number gets reported as outdated when I try to activate it under: https://registeronce.autodesk.com/prodreg

Try recreating it all..  Likely you don't have the serial numbers anymore .. as they have been moving away from them ..

Ok, so that would mean i would have to create a new account. Actually I wanted to avoid this, since this is the admin account, but I can of course try to generate a network license via my personal teacher account. Will this cause problems if I replace the existing license in the current setup with this license?

I would try that .. see if you can get it resolved that way first.

Network licenses are still available, provided your education account is still verified.

If you go to the education product page and sign in, you should see a banner and either an expiry date or a link to renew. If you need to renew, follow the steps, and then we can focus on renewing your license file for the server.

Hello, after a few attempts we have now managed to generate a new network license using the account of a second administrator. Thank you very much for this solution.

However, the basic problem that we do not get the existing license for the original account extended still persists.
