I have AutoCAD 2017 (perpetual license), I downloaded to my new X1 Carbon Gen 9 (64bit, Win 10) and installed it. When I double click on to start AutoCAD for the first time, I see the picture (AutoCAD Logo, image) and then it disappears. Does not start.

Watch the progress notifications at the bottom to see what it's doing when it goes away. There may be a clue there.

It could be just a faulty install. Remove the program fully and according to Autodesk instructions and try again.

Drafting is a breeze and Revit doesn't always work the way you think it should.
