Autocad 2013 won't activate on new computer

Hi all,

I made the big mistake of uninstalling AutoCad 2013LT from my computer before using the online license transfer utility. Now that I've installed the program on a different computer it rejects my serial number at the activation stage. Has anyone had this problem and how did they solve it? I did a 30 trial license so I could use the program, but I need to get it registered at the earlier possible time.

Hi Gary,

Typically when you receive that kind of error in this situation it means that the serial number has been upgraded to another license and is no longer on Subscription. To verify  your license's status, please contact the Activation and Registration department:

1.    Visit http://knowledge.autodesk.com/contactus
2.    Select “Activation & Registration” or “License Management”
3.    Select appropriate subtopics from the pull-down menus
4.    Select “I Still Need Help”  if you need personal assistance

There you can chat with a live agent or submit an email if all agents are busy. Thank you!
