Annoying Process for Academic License

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi,

I'm having a rather annoying time to obtain an academic license for Inventor. I have contacted the Autodesk chat, and was told that my staff card upload was "possibly fraudulent", then referred to a third party to sort it out. This seems to be a ridiculous process, especially when I am registering using a university domain and email.

Can someone from Autodesk please sort out this issue?

Thank you.

Hi @Anonymous,

I am sorry to hear that the process has been frustrating for you. We have started to require students and educators to go through an eligibility process and in doing so have been working with SheerID to do the verification, which is a third-party verification service provider, to confirm an individual’s eligibility for educational access to Autodesk products and services. If you are having difficulty with your eligibility they are the ones you should contact for assistance, as they will be best suited to help you, the following links may also be of help to you and has a direct link to their customer service.

Sheer ID Educator FAQ

If you need further help, please provide the case number you had with Autodesk and I am happy to look into it further for you.

Hi @Anonymous,

I am sorry to hear you have not gotten a timely response. Did you create a case with Autodesk or with SheerID? SheerID is the company that handles all of the Educational Verification for our educational licenses. Please see the FAQ I added in my first response, there is a link to SheerID's Support there.
