Alias Maya 7.0 complete (2005)

Hi everyone, I have a bit of a random question...

Why does my copy of alias Maya 7 Complete from the year 2005 have a post it note with the serial number stuck on in the inside of the cardboard sleeve, rather than on the outer box that is missing? has the seller stolen the key off the internet or is it because of the outer box is not with it? how can I tell?

the serial has just numbers no letters is that correct?
I know its a bit of a strange question?

How are we supposed to know how a post-it note got there?  You're talking about a 13 year old product and we have no clue how this was stored at your location.  Perhaps someone wrote the information on the cardboard sleeve and throw away the box..  Who knows..

Serial #s are just numbers.
