I understand. That's called the "feature code".
It would make sense that you could use a more expensive Revit license to run
plain AutoCAD... but there's no such "hierarchy" in the license file
(AutoCAD <= Revit).
But, you said you had a few vanilla AutoCAD licenses. If so, you can
combine them with the Revit licenses to get at least some of the behavior
you want.

Thx for the reply, but that doesn't help. That just gives me 1 lic. file.
The problem is the vanilla acad.exe is hardcoded to look for the string
"48800ACD_2006_0F" in the .lic file & the Acad/Revit series 8 acad.exe is
hardcoded to look for "50300REVITS_8_0F" I have vanilla acad.exe on all the
PC's so it doesn't know to look for "50300REVITS_8_0F"
