3ds max installing and opening problem.

Hello,

 

Here I have 2 problem which is Opening and Installing problem.

First is the installing problem, I use download now and i get Autodesk_3ds_Max_2017_EFGJKPS_Win_64bit_wi_en-US_Setup_webinstall.exe

 

When I open this webinstall and even i use administrator, it never show anything, look like when i open it auto close down.

After that I use Browser download

After i use this browser download it will auto download 2gb file, Autodesk_3ds_Max_2017_EFGJKPS_Win_64bit_001_002.sfx.exe

But after finish and i open it also nothing happen.

Last I use download now

It give me a AutodeskDownloadManagerSetup.exe

After done install this download manager, it will auto help me download the 7GB+ 3ds Max 2017.

After finish this 3ds Max 2017 setup and after i install this setup, the problem come up which is opening problem.

when I open the 3dsmax.exe

It come up a startup and after few second it will auto close down like i never open it before.

I don know why every time i reinstall this 3ds max, at the end i will get the same thing.

Can I know the problem?

Hello @Anonymous, 

 

Thank you for taking part in the community, I understand you are having issues installing your 3ds Max 2017 software. I will need some more information, please locate your Windows TEMP folder. You can do this by going to the Windows Start > type Run in search box (shortcut Win.key+R) and typing %TEMP% into the box and clicking OK. 

 

Sort by Date or Name and find the Autodesk product and save the installation ____.log file. Please attach this file to your reply.

 

This will help us determine the possible issue preventing you from installing your software.

Hello @Anonymous,

 

At this point, I can provide a workaround for this issue since I do not have a log file. 

You can download your software via the Autodesk Virtual Agent.

 

Please proceed as follows: 

 

  • Logon as an Administrator.  
  • Empty your TEMP folder.  To open the TEMP folder, type %TEMP% in the address bar of Windows Explorer and hit Enter. 
  • Disable your Antivirus software. 
  • Disable UAC. 

W7: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-ca/windows7/turn-user-account-control-on-or-off 

W10: http://winaero.com/blog/how-to-turn-off-and-disable-uac-in-windows-10/ 

  • Download all of the parts
  • Locate the download folder and extract (double click) part _001_00X.sfx.exe. If you have a permission issue right click and select, Run as administrator.
  • Files will be directed to C:\Autodesk
  • Follow the prompts to install the program
