Hello,

Please note that that I moved your post to installation section because it is not a programming/customization topic. The system requirements are specified for the various products on th Autodesk Knowledge network. For example, 3ds Max 2018 is listed here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/3ds-max/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/System.... I would recommend to check each product and speciifc version to see if the Mac Book Air is capable for the software. Also, most software is Windows-only, so you would have to run it with Mac Bootcamp or another solution as a Windows machine. AutoCAD has a mac version, though.

hope it helps,

kevin

You'll need to dual-boot in order to use 3DSMAX; while there is a native AutoCAD for the Mac OS it's slightly different from the Windows version.

Note that with those specs, AutoCAD should be OK but 3DSMAX will struggle.  Definitely don't count on doing rendering with it.
