3 year subscription includes updating version packages per year?

Hi,

I'm looking in to getting a 3-year subscription for an AEC collection. I cannot find anywhere if the AEC collection is receiving the yearly upgrade through the upcoming years?

So if I have Revit 2017, do I have a 3 year subscription on Revit 2017? Or is it upgrading yearly from 2017 to 2018 and laslty to 2019?

I don't want to use Revit 2017 in 2019.

Hopefully somebody can help me with this.

Best regards,

Tjardo Meinsma

Welcome to the community...

When I see a question like this on the form I have to ask..  Do you have a reseller?  If not you should really consider one..  They can guide you through these types of questions..  Smiley Wink

Anyhow to your question...  When you have an active subscription (perpetual license on subscription plan or term based licensing), when the next release comes out you are entitled to upgrade to the new version without any issues.  Also with an active subscription you can use the current release version and 3 legacy versions (like right now 2017 is out, so you can use 2014-2016 as well), along with global travel rights, home use, cloud services and a few other things.

When a subscription is not renewed, elapse, or otherwise not active..

With term based licensing the product will not function at all.  With perpetual licensing (which you can't get anymore), you can continue to use only the latest release at the time you went off subscription.

Hi Marc,

Thanks for the information, it helped me a lot.

Sorry for the late reply, I just saw that my reply at that moment probably wasn't uploaded!
