3-year free network education licence help

Hello everyone,

 

we've registered our school at autodesk - EDU community. Later we requested AutoCad network licence - we got a product number and serial. All went somewhat fine untill:

 

We installed the Network Licencing Manager on our server. - OK

 

But then we need to generate a .lic file following this work-flow:

After logging in the https://registeronce.autodesk.com we got an error after inserting the serial-number:

It's in czech but for your help i'll translate the red error code:

Thanks for activating your product. System met an error during registration or activating your product. Please send us your registration information in form Client service request and you'll be contacted by Autodesk staff.

 

The Client service request link is broken - it doesnt do anything!

 

Anyone (maybe school admin) or autodesk staff could help me out here? Can't get help anywhere but here... Autodesk offers 3 year free edu network licence, but the process of activating is really difficult - not that you have to register like 3 times etc... NOT to mention that during those steps indicated in work-flow i recieved a LOT of errors (fields were invisible in forms, ERROR 404 etc.) 

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have you made sure that you selected the right educational account?

Hello Natasha,

 

yes I do - that's why I've registered about 5 accounts. If I havent done that (choosing the IT admin) - i wouldnt be able to get the AutoCad network licence.

 

ATM: writing an e-mail to AutoDesk support - the error still persists.

 

BTW: why can't I change that after registration? Because of that i've got like 5 accounts 😞

Make sure to reach out to the Educational Support Team, they are the department that can assist you with your educational account. Sorry for the frustration & time lost on this. Smiley Frustrated

we've contacted educational support and they provided a working solution. I'm going to put the advice here so if anyone runs into something similar can try this:

 

Hello from Autodesk!

We understand that you are facing issues while activating your product from register once.

We would request you to first click on "Add new account" on the page where you are getting the error and complete all the details. 

After you have added your account, please choose the new account to activate your product.
