Waiting for email

Hi,

After downloading (from the autodesk website) and installing Fusion 360 for Mac I had to create an account.

I went to the website and created an account, got the verification mail, clicked on it and got to the account area. I even was able to upload some drawings to my A360 drive.

So far, so good. When I open Fusion 360 and enter my credentials I receive this message:

-------------------

Setting up Fusion 360 for your Autodesk account...

Check your email for a personalized link to get to your Fusion 360 data from a browser and resources to get productive immediately.

-------------------

Problem is: There's no email. Nothing. Not in my inbox, not i Junk. I even switched email accounts (from hotmail to gmail). Same story.

Can you please help me out?

thanks

Hello autodesk.randy and welcome to the Autodesk community!

It looks like you're trying to create an Autodesk Cloud account. With an Autodesk 360 account you can view and edit 2D and 3D designs, create 3D models from photos, share and edit files with others, and much more.

Please follow the steps below to create your account:

1. Go to https://360.autodesk.com
2. Click on Create an Account
3. Complete the web form and accept the license agreement
4. Hit Submit

Hey randy,

🙂 and Otto ... Best bot in the world

Andy, I know u said you can use A360 to upload files bt can you please double check if if you are properly logged in properly with ur ID to AUTODESK 360 from fusion? top right corner of the screen in fusion...here might be a chance that your account is not set up correctly; hence, you will need to try checking in account management or setting up a new ID.

  1. Another problem could be the Antivirus and realtime scan option (you Ned to disable it temporarily) as well as your firewall.
  2. Add Autodesk.com to your safe/white list (that should also help sort out the issue)

Good Luck 🙂 please give feedback if your issue is resolved or not...if it works please accept this reply as solution

Hi RDA,

Thanks for your reply.

The thing is: Fusion is not accessible. First I get the credentials screen and right after logging in the splash appears with the message mentioned earlier. There's no way around the message. It's either that or closing down the application.

I actually do receive emails from autodesk. The verification mail was delivered without any problems. I've no AV or firewall in place on this laptop at this moment.

any thoughts?

It is not about receiving emails from autodesk...something is preventing your Fusion from connecting to autodesk that is the main reason I can think of which is preventing fusion from launching further. In principle you need to launch it and it has to be fully running so that you may receive those credentials.

When it hangs at that screen it means Autodesk is not receiving notice that you loged in successfully to Fusion; hence, you don't get the credentials.

It is known that Autodesk Products do use Microsoft's .Net and .Live services hence I suggested the above.

  1. Adding Autodesk.com to safe/white list may resolve the issue if no Firewall or AV is active...
  2. Account ID status is another reason...
