User Assignment

Hi

Our IT guy is trying top assign a user (Me) as a secondary admin in the root account however, the layout of the account is not the same as the ones shown online that describe how to do this....

there should be a sub menu under 'User Management' where 'By User' can be selected but its not there. All we get is a full list of users with 'Edit Access' options that do not include any user type options...

how can we change a user to a Secondary Admin with the options we currently have?

Not sure why you are posting this in the Inventor forum and not the Installation and Licensing forum.   I will have the moderator relocate your posting there to best suit your needs.

Now to your issue..

The new look is only for those who purchase through the Autodesk E-Store.  If you purchased through a reseller you get the old classic look.   So for you since you have the classic look you don't have the ability of the primary and secondary admin switch on the fly.   Yours would be contract manager and software coordinator.  So in order to change the software coordinator you would go here:  https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/users-software/classic-user-manag... Changes may take up to 24 hrs to sync.

It is rumored that at some point all Autodesk Accounts will have the new look..  But there's no offical date..

Not sure where they purchased it, im pretty sure it was direct (not through a reseller)
