I hope i can decribe my task here in a good was 😉

I make a 3 year dual education/study on a german university. In a dual study we learn on a university but also work in a firm some weeks in every term. The university provide the use of the education version of Revit for using in some modules of the study. Unfortunally my private PC is to old to work with this software - but i got an high performance laptop from my employer (firm)for my business tasks (with special business software). Is it possible/allowed to install the education version of Revit also on this laptop and use it for my study-programm? The employer itself will allow the use - so the only question is the license right of autodesk ...

nope you can’t do this

this is a violation of the student license

since this is a company owned machine they need to provide you a commercial license

Really? Because in the information about educational licences i understand something like: trainees (in dual education) in germany (and some other countries)  can install the license also on a pc of their company for the education part of their dual education. But maybe I'm wrong, that's why I'm asking here 🙂

@gerd.huhn Have your employer reach out to their local Autodesk reseller (or find a reseller) and get more details about compliance in this grey area you are in, no one here is an Autodesk licensing representative and what is said/written here will offer you no shield in any software audit/compliance failure https://www.autodesk.com/partners/locate-a-reseller

EDIT: also consider asking in the German Language I&L forum for more local relevant-to-you guidance, here is the link https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/abonnements-installation/bd-p/60

Good luck.
