Upgrade 1 license from autocad LT to Autocad 3D

Hello

We have 2 licences of Autocad LT (since dec 2019).

We'd like to upgrade one licence  to Autocad 3d.

Could youl help please.

Do we have to paid a new Autocad 3D for the rest of the year?

Could we cancel one of the two Autocad's licence LT from now and replace it by a new Autocad 3D for the rest of the year?

There is no upgrade path from LT to AutoCAD: you simply start by paying for a new license for any new software you want.

So, i can't just enable the 3D option on the autoCAD LT version i have - i have to download a completely new version?

Hi @aidenne_ross 

No, you have to download and install a new software. LT has limitations, there isn't a way to install an upgrade to it. 

So you'll need the Full AutoCAD installer and a license for AutoCAD.

you mention "3D Autocad". Acad is mostly a 2D application with some 3D abilities.

If you want true 3D modeling, you need Inventor, not Autocad.

3D is in AutoCAD Mechanical .. Plant 3D ..     they are part of the AutoCAD subscription toolset.
