Unable to sign in to Maya with Autodesk ID on initial launch (education 1 year download)

Hello! I've recently downloaded Maya 2020 education edition with my university email. I'm running Windows 10, 64 bit.

When I try and start Maya, both the launcher (see pic below) and Output Window open, but I'm unable to sign in to activate the product. As soon as I click "Sign in with your Autodesk ID," the launcher closes and nothing happens. I've tried reopening Maya and the same thing happens over and over again.

I'm able to click "Enter a serial number" or "Use a network license" and it shows the two screens below respectively, but I still can't Sign in with my Autodesk ID.

I've also tried uninstalling/reinstalling the product multiple times, but always have the same problem.

I'd appreciate any advice or help, thank you!

@Anonymous Welcome to Autodesk Community.

Have you tried to update the AdSSO (Autodesk Single Sign-On) component? you can download this from your Autodesk Account.

That doesn't work. Although, AdSSO is not available in the autodesk account.

So how do you know it doesn't work if you don't have the update to install in the first place?

FYI it will be under "Updates and add-ons" and it's also available here... Autodesk Single Sign On Component (AdSSO) Update for 2020 & 2021 product versions | AutoCAD 2021 | A...

For this .. You need to make sure all of the update are installed ... and all Autodesk updates are installed.

ran into this as well, the link in the solution no longer works but
i'm on mac and opening Activity Monitor, killing all Adsso processes, then installing the pkg found at this link, and trying to open Maya again, fixed it for me.  (Haven't tried but i think the equivalent for pc might be this link)
(thank you espora for that solution!!)

Thanks, that solved it for me. In the installation set up I clicked remove and then installed it fresh.

I have the same problem but i did all of the steps and no luck, help. I installed maya 2024 a few months ago with success, then decided to Uninstall a while ago but then reinstall it. Now this time I can't login, I tried every solution and none worked. I can't even login in autodesk access
