TWINMOTION FOR REVIT (ALL VERSION) TRIAL : NOT PROFESSIONAL

When downloading, installing and running Twinmotion for Revit (every year/version), the software runs as a "trial - not for commercial purposes (Image 1)

The link from autodesk apps page (images 2) just re-directs to the Twinmotion website to download the plug-in. And if you follow those instructions (which we have, step-by-step, on multiple computers) for the download and installation of the plug-ins: you still receive the message that it is a trial version. I have dealt with BOTH Autodesk and Twinmotion technical (with screen sharing and everything) AND sales AND licensing for the past 2 months and no one has an adequate answer or solution (see customer responses: images 4 - no one seems to want to take responsibility).

Please escalate this concern to your superiors.

As a professional company this is disconcerting because we pay and rely on services that do not allow us to function properly (we have about 20 AEC licences - this process of installation/licensing did not work on any computer).

I will be following this development daily.

@miloszHF2B4

Do you folks purchase through a reseller? It costs nothing extra to do so, and they are the best at resolving "I paid for this but not getting it" type problems. It's never too late to reach out to one either.

I see this too: never had a need for TM, but it seems to be a "pay extra" offering

But there is a RESELLER link there too, tap it and find out what is really going on.

I'm not sure these peer-support forums are ideal for that type of conflict resolution, but best wishes either way.

@pendean twinmotion is an entitlement for revit & aec collection users

Read this: https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Access-to-Twinmoti...

@miloszHF2B4 as far as licensing of twinmotion showing trial this is definitely something epic games needs to help with

From epic games own site

How can I obtain customer support?

  • A: Support for Revit and the functionality of the Open in Twinmotion feature is provided by Autodesk Support.
  • A: Support for Twinmotion includes software installation, native bugs, plugin issues, and crashes. To contact the Twinmotion Customer Support team, please go to the Twinmotion for Revit download page and follow the instructions at the bottom of the page.

@DarrenP I'm no legal expert my friend: I also have free access to the city sidewalk to use, but I can't use that space for commerce. Which is what TM's license pretty much reads to me anyway.

@miloszHF2B4 Do you have an Epic Game access license? That seems to be the pre-requisite

All that legal gibberish is so annoying either way. I'll just watch from the sidelines while it is hashed out.
