because they wouldn't be using serial numbers anymore .. it's based on your Autodesk ID

Hi

First of all, thank you for contacting us about this. You are right that this should work.

I have just done a trial install for Adviser and it worked correctly for me ... so that's good ... but odd!

I was able to replicate the error message though if you missed the step to change the installation from Network to Stand Alone (step 6 in the installation instructions): https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/moldflow-adviser/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles...

Looking at the instructions, I believe they can be improved a bit (a picture at the right spot can probably avoid a few issues).

Please try this and let me know if you still have issues after this.

actually if you miss the 'Serial Number (stand alone) switch you get a message about an incorrect server name ... which is different form the message you got ...

So if that does not solve your issue... we may have to look where you are downloading the installer from. I believe depending on your region/country you may get a different page for the trail. I'm US based and got mine here: https://www.autodesk.com/products/moldflow/free-trial#0

Its possible that if you are in a different region you get a different page, which may have a specific problem we would need to look at, but I would not be able to easily get to this page. So if the previous instructions did not work for you, please send me the link to your trial page and where you are located so I can try to replicate this better.

Best regards,

Hanno

Hi Alvaro

I tried to install the product as a trial in Spanish and had no issues..

Is it possible an Adviser trial had already been installed (and expired) before on this machine?

Beyond that I don't really have an idea ... I've looked for information on the licensing status 2.10.0 as well for some clues but I've come up empty ... This is outside of what I can help with at the moment, but I'll try to get someone better versed in licensing to engage on this.
