2 points I'd like to make...
This project was downloaded from BIM360 Teams... I assume it was copied there by a C4R Admin whose team was running Collaboration for Revit. We are not running our MEP model on C4R... rather we are (I assume) uploading our work back up to BIM360 Teams to be loaded into the C4R model.
Does this make sense - am I understanding this correctly?
This solved it for me with one difference.
My link was working fine for weeks when it suddenly unlinked and disappeared.
The advice I got from others with that problem was to reload. It woulnd't work. Got that same error but there was no link.
I had to restart revit, delete the link and link the revit file seperately.
I still got the error but as with you, the link appeared and I am back to normal (after the annoying task of turning off the linked model/annotation items I didn't want to see which had now all come back as well.)
I just had a user getting this error. What we found out after some experimenting was that they had archived a copy of the model locally, but didn't close all the views of that model. Then they continued working in the BIM 360 version, and were seeing mis-matched graphics because the link was visible in one view but not in the other.
Not the reason the error was written, but another reason it might be appearing.
Any solution for this am also facing same issue. From BIM 360 detached revit file when i linked to Mep to arch same POP-UP dialogue is showing
Same issue. Not able to resolve. Revit 2022 version any suggestions please update.
It appears this problem has resurfaced recently. I am seeing new Autodesk Help articles and updates for Desktop Connector, but none of the solutions are working for me.
Just encountered this error in our office. After a few hours of troubleshooting, we found it to be an Autodesk desktop connector issue. One user updated their desktop connector and 2 others did not, somehow causing the model to lose unload all linked Revit models (including any tags or dimensions associated with the links). We resolved this by having all users update their Autodesk Desktop Connector.
