Revit 2017 can't finish installing

It appears this has been an issue since ~2013, and is still an issue to this day. As for the suggestion to disarm any firewall or security software, that is a negative and is unacceptable.

Hello @Anonymous,

 

Welcome. If you are having an issue installing Revit 2017 please provide a screenshot or install log. 

 

You can do this by going to the Windows Start > type Run in the search box (shortcut Win.key+R) and typing %TEMP% into the box and clicking OK. 

Note: Logs files sometimes contain private information such as serial numbers *SN, please remove this information.

First, the installation log file will definitely help us help you... as @natasha.l stated

 

Secondly, Are you a user or an IT person? When troubleshooting installation issues (with any application), it's ALWAYS (Second nature) recommended to disable the Antivirus software. If it was network or internet related then turn off the firewall. That's IT101 right next to "Try rebooting the machine" & "Are you sure the monitor is plugged in" - Sorry couldn't resists Smiley Very Happy

 

Also, you may want to try downloading the software from the Autodesk Virtual Agent then run the installation.

 

  • Once there, use Download Links and navigate to the application you need to download.

NOTE: If there are multiple parts for the download, you'll need to click each part to download them, once they are downloaded double-click Part1 (which will automatically extract the remaining parts) to begin the installation.
