Remote work with AutoCAD & Azure virtual server

Hello,

We have a client who is considering moving to a virtual office environment which may involve employing a virtual (Microsoft Azure) server . From an AutoCADD point of view, notwithstanding Internet or power outages etc., is there any problem with storing files on a virtual server? Any reason it should not be used? Thanks in advance.

Bryan

Hello @Anonymous,

This a topic that is more of a IT Administrator/CAD manager, but based on the customer quarries common issues associated with virtual servers  are due to latency or connectivity presenting delays in file access. There is limited information on the set up of a Microsoft Azure virtual server, Autodesk provides documentation for Citrix environments. Please review the Virtual installation guidelines for more information.
