re-activate home license

I am unsure how to reactivate the home license for AutoCAD 2014.  I followed the instructions. First I deleted the .data file and its backup.  Then I clicked on the link, signed in and provided the serial number.  The response was something like "Good News!...etc."  The instructions say to then start the product and activate it normally.  But it just keeps going around in circles.  It is not easy to see what to do next.  And that AVA thing is no help at all.   Can you help?

Another problem is that AutoCAD 2014 is no more on eligible list for previous versions (Home use or standard use) :

Is the home licence subscription still available?  Can't find it on the autodesk site.

Yes and no... 

With single user subscription you can install the software on "X" number of machines since the authorization comes from the named account and you're not permitted to be logged into 2 separate machine at the same time.  So you can have it installed at home.

With multi-user (network) subscription your Contract Manager for your subscription has to put the "home user" license request in.  Once granted, the contract manager for your subscription will be issued a home user serial #.

The issue is that I had a subscription for home use (AutoCAD 2014). Then one day recently when I opened it, I received a message to renew my subscription. I followed the link but couldn't do it. The reply I got was that 2014 is no longer supported, so I just wanted to get another "Supported" version.

AutoCAD 2014 for home use was a free download when I did it. I don't use it for commercial use, just personal stuff and only occaisionally.

Is this typr of subscription not available anymore?

Your reply is really "mudding the waters" 

First the 2014 version was never offered in a subscription..  Its too old..  2014 would've been offered as a perpetual license with or with out a maintenance plan.  An active maintenance plan allowed you to upgrade free of charge until you stopped paying for the active maintenance plan.   Did you have a maintenance plan at one time and stopped paying for it?  In the end its all about the history of your 2014 perpetual serial # and if you were on a maintenance plan at one time.  If you still own 2014 rights (based on what I'm seeing you don't), then your home use rights for 2014 should still be active.

AutoCAD 2014 home use was not a free download.  You only got that 'right" because you purchased a 2014 license.  If you never purchased it then you wouldn't got home use rights.
