"License checkout timed out. What do you want to do?" Autodesk 2021

Hello. I am successfully running ACAD LT 2020. I recently installed version 2021 alongside. When launching version 2021, I receive the following message. ""License checkout timed out. What do you want to do?". I have reviewed the knowledge article but do not want to disrupt my 2020 version that is running fine. Thoughts?

Welcome to Autodesk Community.

You can try to update your Licensing Service component as suggested here: Autodesk Licensing Service Update

But the fact that you are seeing this in 2021, it should affect your 2020 as well since both of them are using the same license service component.

What happens if you Right Mouse Button on the AutoCAD 2021 icon an say Run as Admin .... does it work.

@vahn.chua mentioned.  IT should be affecting both. 

Have you fully been able to activate 2021 or able to "LAUNCH" it from your Autodesk Desktop App?

Unfortunately still no resolution. When I run the AdskLicensingInstaller. nothing happens. I don't see the properties box pop up. Also, my Desktop App states that "Your available updates are installed.

Hi. Trying to run as administrator did not work either. Trying to launch from the Desktop App didn't seem to work either.

You can try to run some troubleshooting steps here:

"License checkout timed out. What do you want to do?" when launching Autodesk 2020 software on Windo...

If that's still not working, try to:

1. Perform a clean uninstall.

2. And reinstall by using Browser Download method.
