"Connect to the Internet" when trying to use software offline

Our customers are getting this message:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/Connect-to-the-Internet-...

in AS 2018 (AEC single user sub). Tried the troubleshooting from the article, no help. Had a chat with an Autodesk rep but they keep saying you need an active internet connection at all times. Has anything changed, this article (updated 4 March 2020) still states an internet connection should only be required once every 30 days but the users are not getting the countdown?

They have connected, signed in, software works fine./ When they disconnect from the internet, the message immediately comes up and if closed, comes up with the standard "the license manager is not functioning...".

Hi @Anonymous

Since user is using version 2018, make sure to install the Licensing Hotfix, download here.

Also install the latest AutoCAD and Advance Steel updates from the Autodesk Account.

Let us know how it goes.
