P&ID 2017 on 2018 LIC file?

I've got two seats of P&ID that I've been told are not available in 2018. I have them on an LM with two IDS standard suite licenses which are in 2018.

For whatever reason, AutoCAD users can't access these two P&ID licenses. They could at one time. I don't think anything has changed. Users can still access the IDSS licenses. We don't use P&ID anymore, I use them for AutoCAD only & will convert to AEC Collection term when our contract comes up but for now, I need to use them as AutoCAD licenses.

I don't see any errors in the log file or any reason why they shouldn't be working but they aren't.

Yes, 2017 AutoCAD.

This is one LM of 8 & 75 license total & it's distributed model. I use OpenLM to monitor and will use LM tools when I have a specific issue.

So, I could see that the P&ID's weren't getting used via OpenLM but there were other licenses available & then today, we maxed & those two P&ID's were the only two left and they were both not being used. Users were getting the typical "Error [-4,132.0] Network license not available"

Well... I requested a new lic file and it works with the new file.

The old one, I got through https://registeronce.autodesk.com and the new one, I got through my Autodesk Account...

The old one did work at one time... I'm good now.

Hello @DRW_CAD,

That's great! That can usually help if all else seems fine, glad it worked out.

the issue may have been with the dates mismatching

the 1st time you generated  did you generate both license files the same day?

No, same day but two things that I remember that were odd.

1. as I already mentioned, PID was a 2017 sn and IDS was a 2018 sn, but that was my only option.

2. the first method of requesting a license file, you can only get one product at a time and then you copy and paste them together and normally, after the first product, I would just copy and paste the increment portion into the lic file I was going to use. And I remember that didn't work and when I pasted the entire contents of each lic file together, it did work.

It was a couple months ago & I'm going on memory so... I may have it wrong but that is what I recall.

you actually need to copy/paste the package and the increment of the license file but you got it working now thats all that matters
