Serial # issued for AutoCAD 2015 will not work in AutoCAD 2014. In addition AutoCAD 2014 has been retired by Autodesk and no longer support. Also students are only entitled to the current release 2018 and 3 legacy versions (2015-2017). Pretty soon 2015 will be obsoleted.
Anyhow I have to say the system requirements between AutoCAD 2014 and 2015 are so close not sure why you think your current machine will not work. What specs do you have?
