New installs missing Sign-In, previous installs license manager suddenly broken?

Having a crisis this week.

I use AutoCAD 2019 & I have many users on LT. While my current install is working fine, a "new" user installed LT 2021 and when the activation box popped up, the sign-in option was missing. I downloaded and installed 2020 & 2021 myself, with same result. We have valid licenses and everything is assigned properly.

That was last week...?

This week, other long time LT users ranging from 2019 thru current... their License Managers are suddenly broken/corrupt? Or they can't connect to the internet? Or...? There's no one problem, it's all over the place and unpredictable.

I'm in contact with Autodesk support for help and I'm prodding my IT security folks to investigate, but we can't seem to dial in which side to focus on: Autodesk or my employer?  I've tried all of the tricks listed online: resetting the license, reinstalling, etc... nothing works.

Working with Autodesk Support, there are likely URLs blocked by our firewall...

I will post updates if/when fixed for future reference.

Hello @ChrisGriffinCencora

Thank you for letting us know. This is likely the issue I have listed the common troubleshooting steps to take when this occurs below:

  1. Make sure you installed with a Windows Administrator profile
  2. The latest Autodesk Licensing Service update needs to be applied & the service needs to be running
  3. Make sure you have an uninterrupted high-speed connection to the internet & try adjusting your LAN  & proxy settings etc. Search online for a free internet tester or try another Wifi network
  4. Temporarily disable security settings like Antivirus, Firewall & UAC on your Windows operating system
  5. Whitelist the sites listed in these articles:

I'm perplexed that everything seems to have broken all at once. New installs with 2020 & 2021 LT.... and existing users on 2019 & 2021 LT. The Autodesk Support tech I spoke with ran a scan on my machine and provided a list of sites that need to be whitelisted... so that's where we're at right now.

Hello @ChrisGriffinCencora

I see, that's step #5 above. I hope you return to let us know if that resolved it for you. 😊
