Need licensing help for network install image

My company has a division in the Netherlands and they want to use the network Autodesk licenses we have here in the USA. They are on a different domain than us but are connected to our domain through a VPN. When I set up a network install image for a piece of Autodesk software that will be used on our domain, I put in the name of the network license server and that is it. But users on a different domain cannot resolve that license server name by name alone. It would need to be qualified with a domain name, or IP address, or something like that.

So my questions are, what nomenclature do I use for the license server name in order for a user on a different domain to be able to reach it? How do I set up a network install image for clients on a different domain to use a license server on our domain?

Thanks,

Do you have a global license agreement with Autodesk?   If not then divisions of yours located outside the US borders is not permitted to use your license.  They will be required to obtain their own license.

I have explained this issue to our local VAR and they didn't say anything about global licensing but I will explicitly ask this question to find out if we are legal or not.

For argument's sake, let's say we are legal. I still need the technical aspect of the question answered.

If the end users are a distance from the license manager which they would be, you will need to use this system variable (https://knowledge.autodesk.com/search-result/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-create-a-FLEXLM-T...) to allow more time for the connection.   In the end the user must be able to "ping" the server name or its IP address.  If they can't do that based on how they are connecting to your domain then its not going to work.   But you can connect using the server name or just the IP address.

I just talked to our VAR about global licensing and the minimum number of licenses you need to start the conversation is 50. Soooo, solving the technical aspect of the licensing issue is moot at this point. Our Netherlands folks will have to buy their own licenses.
