Need a computer...

I currently work for a design / manufacturing company and I am using their hardware.  But, I have put in my notice and need to return their equipment.  So, I need to purchase my own laptop, and programs.  I am currently working on a Dell Precision 7510, laptop and I am running Autocad 2018, Revit 2018, and the whole Adobe suite.

I literally know nothing about computers...(hardware wise)  Any help / suggestions on a beefy, light weight, laptop would be so appreciated.  I travel a lot with my husband for his job and I am starting my own business, so a laptop is necessary.

Thank you!!

Hi @Anonymous

I'll gladly help with this ....

Here are the system requirements for Revit 2019:

I would recommend the following if I was getting another PC:

512GB - 1 TB SSD for the primary

1-2TB 2nd HD ( SSD or 7200 RPM)

32-64 GB Ram

Here is a link to the Certified Cards:

I have a GTX1070 on 2 devices ..and I run Revit / Inventor / Adobe and more on my PC without any issue.

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..

Adding to @mdavis22569 information..

Just keep in mind you don't purchase Autodesk products  anymore..  You rent them or its called term subscription.  Pay per month, quarterly, yearly or 3 yr.  In addition every time the product is launched it needs to phone home  to Autodesk.  If you don't have a internet connection (since you stated you travel with others), you have 30 days off-line before the product will not work function.  So just keep that in mind.
