My serial number doesn't activate my product

Hello,

 

I seem to be having an issue that the technical team are have great difficulty fixing.

 

I recently purchased a new licence for Autocad LT 2017 for mac , but when my Autocad LT prompt me to insert the new serial number in, it doesn't work.

 

i dont get any error message, it simply brings up the activation prompt again. Aside from this, I get an email from Autodesk saying "Thank you for registering" with a confirmation of serial number etc.

 

The only way I can actually use the product is with the 30 day free trial and my days are now numbered, even though I have paid for the licence.

 

Can anyone help please?

We here, are just users like you. You're going to have to contact your reseller, or Autodesk if you rented directly from them.

When you say activation windows comes up again..  What activation window are you seeing?  Share a screen shot but make sure to remove any sensitive information such as your serial #.

 

Is the window you are seeing Contact your Admin?  Or one that indicated Renew Subscription?

Hello,

 

Please see the photo.

 

It's totally baffling me. Sign in works, but doesn't recognise that i have the licence and is going onto free trial mode.

Hello @Anonymous,

 

Thanks for being a member & posting to the community.

 

I would try to remove the files located in these locations to reset the licensing on a Mac & try to activate the product again.

 

All Autodesk Products will be effected when conducting these steps, just so you are aware. 

 

You don't get a serial number when you renew your subscription (Mac)

  1. Close your Autodesk program.

  2. Delete the three (3) files prefixed with adskflex from the following folder:

     /Library/Preferences/Flexnet Publisher/FLEXnet

  3. Remove all files from the following folder:

    /User/username/Library/Application Support/Autodesk/ADUT

  4. Go to the following folder:

    /Library/Application/Support/Autodesk/CLM/LGS/<product key>_<product version>

  5. In this folder, do one of the following:
    • Open the LGS.DATA file, change the value to _STANDALONE, and save the file 

      OR

    • Delete the contents of the folder & create a txt file with _STANDALONE in this folder 

  6. When you launch your Autodesk software Enter the Serial Number

Hello @Anonymous,

 

Try a Clean Uninstall for MAC then reinstall and activate. Also, make sure you are using 827I1 an I.
