LMTOOLS Utility missing products

Anonymous
Not applicable

I've just tried to update to Factory Design Suite Premium to 2019.  Removed old versions and installed the new products, have updated LMTools to V11.14.1.3  on the server and reloaded the new license file.  Products now ask for the license server name etc as expected, but report error [0.0.0]

The LMtoools utility under /server status tab, [perform status enquiry] lists various products and versions, but these are all 2017 or older.  It appears that the 2019 versions are not actually in the new license file.

Any thoughts on how this has happened or what can be done about it?

(Server is Windows Server 2012 and the products are on Windows 10)

Without seeing your license file and/or the debug log file (config service tab), there's not much we as users can do about this.  However don't share your license file here.

Anyhow when you installed the new license manager did you create a new service or modified the existing one?  With the new version of LMTOOLS it is recommended to create a new service.

Update:  You can confirm your license information here http://www.licenseparser.com/

The licence parser returns:

Parsed License File OK.lic
License Type Single / Distributed
Computer / Hostname CORRECT
MAC Address / Host ID CHECKED OK
Specified Port First Available

Increments Matched

Seats Feature Feature Code Serial Number Issue Date Expiration
1 Autodesk Factory Design Suite Premium 2019 87053FDSPRM_2019_0F xxx-xxxxxxxx 09-Nov-2018 permanent

but the LMTools only lists products from 2017 e.g.

FDSPRM_2017_0F:  (Total of 1 license issued;  Total of 0 licenses in use)

Did you create a new service (after stopping the current one)?

I updated to V11.14 using the process as outlined in the README:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/sites/default/files/file_downloads/nlm11.14.1.3_ipv4_ipv6_win64_readm...

to directly answer your question.  I don't know

Check the path to the license file in the Config Services tab in LMTools - is it definitely pointing to the new license file?

Can you see the same file name appear at the bottom of the window when in Start/Stop/Reread tab ("Using License File:")?

Also check your Services.msc for duplicate licensing services (default name is Flexlm Service 1, but you might have changed that to anything).

File path to the .lic file is correct.  Re the services, I have one instance of "Flexnet Licensing Service 64" running - which I presume is equivalent.

EDIT: in the LMTools config services tab, the service name is "AutoDesk".  the Services pane also shows one instance of this running.  debug log of last reread:
