Or I did something wrong, or this situation is unacceptable.

This morning our internet connection failed. I started up inventor and I got a screen telling me to establish an internet connection.... The internet failure was not in our LAN, but on our providers side. It was down the whole morning. I got a "trial" license from autodesk, but was unable to work normal. I even could not make a drawing (place views) and save the drawing.

How far have we become if such things happen?

Licensing issues need to be posted in the Installation and Licensing forum for best results.

I will have the moderator relocate your posting there.

If you got into trial mode its the same application so I would need to understand why you can't make a drawing.

If your license is subscription based you need to understand how it works.

Every time your launch the product it phones home to check your subscription status.  If it finds a live internet connection it continues on.  If there's no internet connection it goes into a 30 day grace period.  In your case Inventor is still seeing a live connection even though your provider has a problem.  Disconnect from your network, WIFI, router, internet or outside world and launch the program.  It should go into the 30 day offline counter.
