License activation student

hey, I just deleted two files.:

1. 1. C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet\adskflex_00691b00_tsf.data
   2. C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet\adskflex_00691b00_tsf.data_backup.001

and my students license still dont work, can you tell what i should do?

My student license for 3dsmax and autocad ended, when I turned on programs i just see the option " activate"

but it does not work. Next i have it:

I deleted the files but when I turn on the programs my license still does not work:(

To reauthorize your expired Home Use License, complete a new Subscription Home Use License Agreement. If approved, the Home Use License will extend for another term. The serial number will remain the same, but you will need to reactivate the product on your home machine.

1. Locate and delete the .data file and its backup file.

Windows Vista/Windows 7/Windows 8 and 8.1/Windows 10

* C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet\adskflex_00691b00_tsf.data
* C:\ProgramData\FLEXnet\adskflex_00691b00_tsf.data_backup.001

Windows XP

* C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\FLEXnet\adskflex_00691b00_tsf.data
* C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\FLEXnet\adskflex_00691b00_tsf.data_backup.001

Notes:

* The above Windows files are hidden files. To see them, you may need to enable Show Hidden Files in the Folder Options window.
* Running the LMU.exe process may lock adasflex data files and prevent deletion. You can use the Windows Task Manager to check whether LMU.exe process is running. If it is running, you need to end the process.

Mac

* /Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher/FLEXnet/adskflex_00691b00_tsf.data
* /Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher/FLEXnet/adskflex_00691b00_tsf.data_backup.001

Notes:

* The above Mac files are hidden files. To see them, you may need to open the FLEXnet folder in Finder:
* In Finder > Go menu > Go to Folder, enter this path in the Go to the Folder box and click the Go button: /Library/Preferences/FLEXnet Publisher/FLEXnet/

* Deleting the .data file will delete the existing activations for all 2010 and later Autodesk products, which will need to be reactivated. Products from other companies, such as Adobe, may use the same licensing technology and have similar files in the same location, so do not remove other, non-Autodesk files.
2. Launch the product.

3. Follow the standard activation process to reactivate the product for a new period.

You have a student license.  Why are you following steps to activate a home license of a commercially paid license.  Can you just simply share an image of the activation window or activation issue that you are seeing.

Never and I mean never share any sensitive information here such as email address, serial #, subscription account number, business address, and phone/cell #. This is a world wide peer to peer network and such items should not be posted here for security reasons.

Anyhow it would've helped from the very beginning if you said this was 2014.  When your 3 yr license is up you can't activate these legacy versions.  You have to go back and request a newer version of the product.

ok, autocad is in 2014 version but 3ds max in 2015 ,and it does not work. I will try to install new versions

Hi @Anonymous,

As mentioned by @Mark.Lancaster, you should never share your license details. I've now removed the screen shot showing your Serial Number.

Regarding the validity of the Student license, you also need to consider the date the license was issued/registered, not only the release. I've checked your account. Your AutoCAD 2014 and your Autodesk 3ds Max Design 2015 are now expired, because they were registered more than 3 years ago.

On the other hand, you already have Student licenses for the following products/versions:

Autodesk 3ds Max 2015 (not "Design")

Autodesk 3ds Max 2016

AutoCAD 2015

AutoCAD 2017

These ones are still active, so you should be able to activate them with your unique Student Serial Number and the appropriate Product Key for each product & version, which you'll find in your Autodesk Account, as per these instructions.
