Inventor 2025.4 not running on Windows 11

IT has recently updated (feels like downgraded) our machines to Windows 11 from Windows 10.

- Models are now taking longer to open.

- Using Save basically crashes the software or is taking minutes to complete.

- Basic features are taking ages to apply.

Is there anything we can do to stop this / help?

Currently using Acer ConceptD CN515 laptop which ran all autodesk software perfectly before the update.

Inventor 2025 is generally compatible and supported on Windows 11. Real performance (and performance degradation in your case) may depend on many parameters and settings - graphics card driver, disk driver, antivirus software, system utilities, page/temp file settings...

You can experiment with a couple of Windows settings, like Core Isolation (showstopper) and / or Gaming Mode.

If they only performed an in-place OS upgrade, not a wipe-clean and installed OS/all of your software, then you most likely will need to uninstall INVENTOR and all related Autodesk software, reboot your laptop, and reinstall all over again (don't forget all the required updates).

A quicker less painful for you option would be for your IT to experiment giving you a new log-in to test and use if it behaves much better.

Enjoy the ride.
