What are you getting for an error?

is the license even valid?

However I would recommend the following ways to activate this older version:

Autodesk RegisterOnce:

https://registeronce.autodesk.com/prodreg/beginRegistration.action

And AVA (Autodesk Virtual Agent)

ava.autodesk.com

The license needs to be verified ... to make sure it hasn't been used in an upgrade etc.

Yes of course its valid lol

I got a Export Request Failed

"The maximum number of exports for this serial number has been reached!"

I will try that tonight. Thanks

Also it looks like uninstalling from my other computer may work according to the post below.

thanks for your reply.

You'd be surprised at how many don't have a valid license.

Quick question .... hoping you have the following for system requirements or you will have issues:

https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/inventor-products/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/System-requirements-for-Autodesk-Inventor-2010-products.html

Microsoft Windows® Operating Systems

  • Windows® Vista™ (SP1) (32-bit or 64- bit): Home Basic, Home Premium, Business, Enterprise, Ultimate
  • Windows® XP: Professional (SP2 and SP3), XP Professional x64 Edition SP2
  • Microsoft® Windows 7 (32-bit or 64-bit) Home Premium, Professional, Ultimate/Enterprise.
Note: Windows 7 support only for Inventor 2010 Sp1 and Inventor 2010 Subscription Advantage Pack or higher.

Without the SP1 for Windows 7 ...

Thanks

I ran into this the last time I had a computer upgrade issue and autodesk give me a activation code after i give the the request number.

My troubles began when i got a laptop with windows 10! Of course INv 2010 would run on it so i bought and installed vmware. That is a disgusting direction to try Ill warn anyone on that! So now i'm stuck on having a win 7 machine and that will be not supported by next year.

Vary frustrated....

Thanks mdavis

Not a problem ... happy to help where I can.

Just asking ... no need to answer. Why not update to 2020?  So many changes / enhancements since 2010...

If only I could afford it. I would love to.

I have been keeping a maintenance plan with 3ds max because i have been using that mostly these days but every once in  awhile i need Inventor.

WOW! I just looked for the heck of it. I think i paid 3500 for mine now you pay more then that just renting???

No wonder i am still on 2010! That does everything i need. the sheet metal package is great! 2017 Solidworks just caught up with it. SW could not layout a sqr to round transition for years!

Looks like its only free to the hobbyist. I will be using for retirement work. I just need to get Inventor back up and running. I know it well and I like it.

Thanks

look more into it. I believe there was an under 100K a year Small Business usage

https://www.autodesk.com/campaigns/fusion-360-for-hobbyists

STEP 1: CHECK IF YOU QUALIFY

Fusion 360 is free for startups generating less than $100k/year in total revenue or wholly non-commercial hobbyist users. Review our legal terms of service page to make sure you qualify for free use.

You might qualify depending on how much you're pulling in
