Installing Autodesk Revit 2024.2 update failed

You have to install it as Admin.

I have admin rights; even though I tried running as an administrator, the issue persists

Having admin permissions isn't the same as being admin. The screenshot shows the installer looking in folder gopinath, which probably is not the Windows admin?

If it fails when running as admin as well, then it's most likely the admin has no access permission for folder gopinath.

I have only one user, which is the admin, and to confirm the same, I used the 'Run As Administrator' option from the right-click context menu.

I cleared the installation files from C:\Autodesk. Is there any chance that it is causing the issue?"

The first option has been stuck at 97% for about 3-4 hours with no cancellation option. I'll try reinstalling.

Do you still show the Revit installer in the C:\Autodesk.

That didn't work for me, and the installation gets stoke on 97% and doesn't finish.
Left the installation running overnight twice and did not install.

Reinstalling Revit 2024 worked for me
