Installing a 30 day Free Trial

I have had AutoCAD 2018 installed and I used it 4-5 months, then let the subscription end.  I responded to the 30 day free trial for AutoCAD 2019, and loaded AutoCAD 2019.  I got past the migration phase.  AutoCAD 2019 came up and indicated that I have 0 days subscription left, and that I must buy a new subscription.

1) What went wrong?

2) In the future, will it be possible for me to subscribe to AutoCAD on a monthly basis, end the subscription, and then start it back up again?

In regards to you second question, yes, you can subscribe monthly -> End it -> then get back on Subscription later. However, you will NOT have the ability to use the trial between dropping and re-subscribing.
