Getting Network License to Offline Computer

Hello All,

We have a network license on a single licensing server for our AEC collection of software.  This is all working great.  We also have Direct Access setup so users don't need to borrow a license when going off-site to work.

We have a user that is out of the state, but unable to connect back to our licensing server for whatever reason to obtain or borrow a license.

My question is this:  Is it possible for me to check out a license file or a license on my end, and get that to him so that he can activate his products to work while off-site?  Or is he outta luck until we can get him back communicating with our licensing server?

Thanks

Without VPN or direct access to the license server, there's no way for the user to get a license for your network.

However the user may be able to perform a license reset and run it as a trial for 30 days.

But there's no guarantee this will work.

Hello @edward.anderson

Since you use Direct Access for remote computer access it uses IPv6 communication protocol. Please review this article.

Network communication IPv4 or IPv6 protocols

Thanks for the troubleshooting steps and articles for consideration.  I won't have access to the PC again until tomorrow, but will try these steps and see if it helps.

Thanks!
