Getting error 7 when trying to install autocad 2021 on my surface

I have autocad 2016 on my surface pro but my license is expired. I now have student rights again and when i go to install autocad 2021 i get error 7. Is there a way to get my license number to just use 2016 autocad? thanks

I am getting the student free version. When i click get product the only options i get are install and download. Browser download is not an option. I have tried the other 2 methods and have had the same outcome.

Hi @Anonymous 

For search your code of 2016 version, go to manage.autodesk.com

Search for 'all products and downloads' and click on the 'view downloads' from the software you want.

Then on the activation tab you will find the code.

Also, you can download the software from the download tab.

I got to the activation tab but there is no code there only version
2021-2018 and sign in?

Hi @Anonymous,

Serial Numbers are no longer granted, Sign In means what it says, Sign In to Activate your product.

Once installed you will be prompted to activate, which is where you can sign in.
