FTL Virtual device creation failed ERROR

Hi

I am getting an ERROR after instelling 3ds max 2017 on win 7 sp1 with quadro fx 3800.

3ds max 2017 worked well before I formatted the pc.

I tried to deep remove the video card drivers and installing older drivers, it didn't work.

Changing the drivers mode in 3ds max to direct3d or openGL are very slow.

If you haven't done so already, change from Nitrous Renderer to Direct 3D or Open GL.

Start > All Programs > Autodesk > Autodesk 3ds Max > Change Graphics Mode

or

from within Max: Customize>preferences>viewports>choose driver

Thank you! I tried Direct and it crashed again, but Open has worked... fingers crossed.  I've still put a help request in, but this has worked well enough for me to get some work done tonight, so I am very thankful.
