Export Screening - some new licensing scheme?

This morning starting Revit gave me this screen. It does nothing, at least not if you measure in minutes. when I quit, I can start the process allover, but after entering my username and password, I get the same "Export Screening" again and nothing seems to happen.

Never saw that before and didn't do anything that would have required me to log in again.

How can I make Revit to just work? I'm using a single user license and there are no serial# anymore (one logs in with the Adesk username). I hope this isn't some new DRM scheme that is designed to make life harder for users that paid subscription but will do nothing against pirates.

I get the very below error when logging into the Autodesk updater.

Still doesn't work. there comes that License manager error that signs me out of the Autodesk update manager. After that i can log into the update manager again. but that still doesn't let me use Revit.

i had restarted my PC, to no avail.

So I ended up starting a chat with Autodesk "support". Apparently it is their fault and they need to review all export requirements are blah blah blah blah.... they didn't get back to me as they said they would. I contacted them again and they said that can take up to 24 hours. to clarify, our company (in US) only works in the US and we have had the same contract for almost 15 years.  Except for paying our annual subscription fee we never made any changes. No one ever contacted us about there being an issue or a review needed.

Apparently it is Autodesk policy to just disable the software when they feel like it and let you guess what happened.

Last night I got an email indicating they removed the block. But even after re-starting my PC, it still didn't work.

This morning it worked on the second try. the first try still gave me the splash screen. Looks like they decided to let me use the software we paid for.

No explanation why they blocked it, no apology. So they basically randomly block the software from running and let you figure out what is going on. No warning given.

Sorry if this sounds sour, but I basically lost 1 day of Revit use with no warning because someone at Adesk just felt like doing it.
