Expired Perpetual License

Hi All,

Can I get activation codes for my expired perpetual license? For example, (if my computer crashes and my expired perpetual license that was locked in 2017) does Autodesk provide the activation codes so I can reinstall on my new computer?

Or is there a cutoff based on versions?

Or can I get a permanent activation code via media?

Thanks for any feedback!

Autodesk will still provide activation codes for several more years.  There is a cut off based on the version, so 2010 I think is no longer eligible for an activation code, next year 2011 will drop off and so on.  See the forum for this at

No they won't give us a permanent code.

There is no such thing as a permanent anything license related at Autodesk anymore: at some point after summer of 2021 you'll no longer be able to autoactivate R2017 on a new PC since it will fall beyond the "three versions back" version for subscription users. Sorry, not much you can do about it unless Autodesk changes its mind again.

You'll find what you need here https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/users-software/previous-versions/...
