Hello @biuro,

If you just installed, this .dll is not accessible so you want to be sure it is placed in the proper location & that nothing is interrupting it from being accessed. The easiest thing to do is start fresh, follow all the steps below to remove any possible blockage this time.

  1. Conduct a Clean Uninstall of the application & use the MSfixitTool to complete it
  2. Reboot the computer & log in as Administrator
  3. Clean out the TEMP folder. To open the TEMP folder, type %TEMP% in the address bar of Windows Start Menu and hit Enter (Windows)
  4. Temporarily disable your Antivirus software & Firewall for Windows 10
  5. Temporarily disable UAC on  Windows 7 or Windows 10
  6. Use the Browser Download Method in your Autodesk Account

Let us know how it goes.

Thanks for responding.
I tried:
- use the MSfixitTool;
- clear TEMP windows folder;
- temporarily disable Windows Defender
-  uninstall and install Civil via three methods - by Browser (and
earlier by Download Manager or from hard disc) - without results.
I installed all service packs and hot fixs for Civil - without results.
I tried install Civil on my laptop to test and... This same error appears!!!

Hello @Anonymous,

Where are you grabbing the download from? Also, did you just install Civil 3d 2017 or you have been using it & all of a sudden stopped working?

Have you checked for any recent changes on the system like a Windows update?

I downloaded Civil by my Autodesk account.
I have to use Civil all time - for my job.
What are the symptoms of the error:
- Civil 3D freezes for a few seconds (sometimes - more) on startup;
- sometimes Civil 3D crash up.
The system is updated automatically (this is Win 10 64 Pro PL).
I made the diagnosis system file - no errors.
I checked my system disc (SSD) - no errors.
And now I have no idea what to do.

Hello @biuro,

If you tried all the steps I provided above, then it should be something on the operating system. Either a Windows profile issue, a Windows update or 3rd party software.

This is not an Autodesk related issue, if you have an IT department have them take a look to search what can be causing this error. Windows 10 users have reported this issue & it is a Microsoft error that link has some suggestions like renaming the file.

Hello,
"renaming the file" - What do you mean? Please expand it.
I will try to install AutoCAD right after the installing Windows -
without other software.
