Eduation Renew Network Licenses

Anonymous
Not applicable

Good Afternoon,

I noticed when I logged into my AutoDesk account that the network licenses for: AutoCAD 3000 seatseducationmaintenance planmulti-user expires in 10 days, Maya 3000 seatseducationmaintenance planmulti-user expires in 9 days, and SketchBook - for Enterprise 3000 seatseducationmaintenance planmulti-user expires in 9 days. I do not notice an expiration date for Mudbox 3000 seatseducationperpetualmulti-user.

I looked under Billing & Orders --> Contacts, and while I see AutoCAD, Maya, and SketchBook listed, there is not an option to renew.

Thank you for any help you may be able to provide in renewing these resources for the university library use.

Justin

Welcome to the Autodesk User's Community..

Schools don't renew or have the capability of renewing.  You have to go back and request newer versions of the product. https://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/featured

From there you will be issued new serial #s and then you can generate a new license file.   However this means the entire school must update the software to the new version you requested.

you have to go back to the edu community website & request the products you need again: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/customer-service/account-management/education-program/renew-education...

you will be issued new serial numbers for each product

Thank you for your quick reply Mark!

I followed the link, selected "School: Deploy with Network Server," and noted the serial number and product key.

I downloaded the software and open it; however, on the select license type after the app launches I can "Sign In," "Enter a Serial Number," or "Use a Network License."

I cannot sign in with my account because my trial has ended.

If I choose to enter a serial number it will not activate because the request does not match license type.

Because the network license hasn't been updated it will not activate with the server.

If I try to generate a license from My Account --> "All Products & Services," the file keeps the expiration date.

I believe I'm missing the part on where or how I generate the new network license.

Any guidance you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

Justin

I'm not how the link you provided works with renewing network licenses.

Any help on renewing expiring network licenses is greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

I went to the Education download page (https://www.autodesk.com/education/free-software/featured) and selected a new version of the software (ex. Maya), signed in, and then entered in the following info.

License Type: School: Deploy with network server

Version: Maya 2019

Operating System: Windows 64-bit

Language: English

This gives me a new serial number and product number as well as a download button.

I download the software which is newer than the version I currently have deployed on campus using the network license that is about to expire this weekend.

After install, when the application launches for the first time I receive a pop up with the following options:

"Sign In," "Enter a Serial Number," or "Use a Network License."

I cannot sign in with my account because my trial has ended.

If I choose to enter a serial number it will not activate because the request does not match license type.

Because the network license hasn't been updated it will not activate with the server.

I appreciate your help trying to solve this.

Thanks.

Justin
