Dismissing "Getting Started" Prompt at Launch

Hi,

We have recently discovered that our Autodesk products, including 3ds max, prompt the user to select licensing method on startup. Once a user selects "Network License" on the "Getting Started" screen, everything works wonderfully.

Is there a way to dismiss this prompt and automatically select a network license? I assume that there is a registry key or .ini that can configure this but I have yet to find this setting.

I would greatly appreciate any and all help in sorting this issue.

If you create a LGS.DAT file (using notepad) in the following folder structure

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\CLM\LGS\<product key>_<product version>.0.0.F

In the LGS.DAT file, enter the following text as shown _NETWORK   Save file.

Also in that same directory create a LICPATH.LIC file (using notepad) and enter the following (and save)

SERVER <license server name> 000000000000
USE_SERVER
